Last week saw the success of ‘Bilibili x The Star Idol Online Fan Event’, The Star Idol’s first-ever online fan-meeting. All 6 finalists of The Star Idol: O, Poom, Earn-Earn, Korn, Boom and Copper assembled to cater memorable moments, entering into challenges to please 6 lucky fans in the online event, hosted on the 4th of November 2021. The ‘Bilibili x The Star Idol Online Fan Event’ marks another brilliant collaboration between ‘Bilibili’, Southeast Asia’s leading video platform, and ‘one31’ television channel, the creative force behind The Star Idol. This was a chance for fans to interact with their favourite Idols, as well as Bilibili’s next step in its commitment to expanding the streaming platform’s entertainment content inventory, to satisfy the diversifying demands of the new generations.
This very first online fan event was packed to the brim with memorable fan-service activities. This included challenges that the Idols and fans had to team up and compete in together: singing, games, quizzes and acting on cues, along with hilarious penalties where fans were treated to the funny side of their favourite Idols as well as their skills as entertainers.
The fun began with a first task of taking group photos, where the online attendees came together to create a heart shape with their arms. The second task saw fans pairing up with their Idols, splitting into 6 teams as they competed to prove their mettle as true fans of Thai music. This was followed by ‘A bonus for you’, the event’s third task, which was an all out fan-service where the Idols fulfilled their fans’ requests, including delivering playful love confessions, singing to express their gratitude, and even making alarm clock ringtones. An entertaining Q&A was hot on the heels as the fourth task, allowing fans to learn more about their favourite contestants. The event closed with a fun photoshoot, where teams had to act on cues doled out by the MC; hilarity ensued as penalties were dealt to the slower contestants, ending the event with plenty of joy and laughter.
Last but not least, the 6 Idols departed with touching words, thanking fans for their unending support and love since the beginning of their journeys, with shoutouts to those who cheered on for them through social media and took part in voting activities.
