แถลงการณ์จากกลุ่มสร้างไทยต่อการรัฐประหารในประเทศเมียนมา

กลุ่มสร้างไทยไม่เห็นด้วยกับการรัฐประหาร ระบบอำนาจนิยม และการสืบทอดอำนาจแบบอำนาจนิยมเพราะทำให้ประเทศตกอยู่ในมือของคนจำนวนน้อยซึ่งใช้ระบบรัฐราชการเป็นเครื่องมือ เพื่อตอบสนองความต้องการของกลุ่มผู้มีอำนาจเท่านั้น การไม่เป็นประชาธิปไตยจะนำมาซึ่งความเหลื่อมล้ำ ตอกย้ำความยากจน ทำลายโอกาสและอนาคตของประชาชนในการทำมาหากินและโอกาสในการพัฒนาประเทศ

กลุ่มสร้างไทยเชื่อมั่นในระบอบประชาธิปไตย การเคารพสิทธิมนุษยชน และการยึดมั่นในหลักนิติธรรม เพราะเป็นสิ่งที่สะท้อนถึงอำนาจ สิทธิเสียง และการมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชนโดยเฉพาะคนตัวเล็ก กลุ่มสร้างไทยไม่ต้องการเห็นประชาชนชาว เมียนมาต้องมีชะตากรรมเหมือนคนไทยที่เผชิญกับการรัฐประหารและอำนาจนิยมมาเกือบหนึ่งศตวรรษ จึงขอเป็นกำลังใจให้ประชาชนชาวเมียนมา ขอให้พวกท่านเข้มแข็ง อย่ายอมแพ้ต่อเผด็จการอํานาจนิยม และช่วยกันสถาปนาระบอบประชาธิปไตยให้ยั่งยืนต่อไปเพื่อพี่น้องชาวเมียนมาทั้งมวล

Statement from “Saang Thai Group” (also known as Rebuild Thailand Group)
on Myanmar’s coup d’état

“Saang Thai Group” disagree with coup d’état, authoritarian system, and authoritarian succession. These can only result in nations falling in the hands of a few people who utilize state-bureaucratic system as a tool to accommodate the needs of only those who are in power.
Non-democracy brings about inequality, enhances poverty, and destroys opportunities and the future of the people as well as the opportunity to develop the nation.

“Saang Thai group” believe in democracy human rights, and adhere to the rule of law. These values reflect the power, rights, and participation of the people, especially “the small people” (or powerless people). “Saang Thai group” do not want to see the Burmese people share the same fate as the Thai people who have been facing coup d’état and authoritarianism for nearly a century. We offer our prayers to the Burmese people to stay strong and not give up to authoritarianism. We hope the democratic system could be restored for all of our brothers and sisters in Myanmar.
